Robert DeFelice, who sadly passed away on November 16, 1999, started as a Regina Opera Guild member, but soon began to volunteer his time at rehearsals and performances as a production assistant, repairman, prop-maker, concessions volunteer, and supernumerary. He delighted audiences when he made his stage debut as Ivan in the 1993 production of Die Fledermaus, and later appeared in many other productions. His work for us was so valuable that the Board of Directors named him Vice President and a member of the Casting Committee in 1996.
Bob's many creative talents included photography; his great performance shots can be seen in our Photo Gallery. He branched out into set design when he created the beautiful sets for our production of Hansel and Gretel.
Bob will be sorely missed, not just for all the hard work he put into every production, but for his enthusiasm, his sense of humor, his kindness, and his generosity. We thank him and his sister, Fran DeMaria, who shares Bob's love of opera and generously supports us as a Guild member and volunteer.
